Pallet Racks & Warehouse Racking in Chicago, IL

If your Chicago warehouse is stacking freight in the aisles, storing overflow in a trailer, or paying for square footage you cannot reach, the problem is usually layout rather than space. Older multi-story loft buildings on the Near West Side and newer single-story boxes out by the Stevenson behave very differently once you start planning pallet positions. We design industrial pallet racks around the building you already lease, then deliver and install them on a schedule that keeps your dock running. Call and we can talk through pallet counts, clear height, and lead time on the first conversation.

Free warehouse needs analysis. Free CAD layout. Delivery and installation by our own crews across Chicago and the surrounding Chicagoland market.

Why Chicago Warehouses Work With Us

Chicago warehouses are rarely uniform. A converted building in Pilsen or Bridgeport may have columns on tight centers, low bar joists, and a single interior dock, while a newer facility near the Clearing yards gives you 32 feet of clear height and full drive-around access. Both can hold far more inventory than they usually do.

We have been laying out warehouse racking across the city since 1997, from small self-distribution operations to multi-shift fulfillment floors. That history means we can tell you early which pallet rack systems fit your columns and forklift, and which ones will cost you positions. Our warehouse is in Westmont, so components move into the city quickly and installation crews are local, not routed in from another state.

What Our Pallet Rack Service Includes

Every Chicago project starts with a free warehouse needs analysis. You send us building dimensions, clear height, pallet sizes and weights, forklift type, and how many positions you need today and next year. We turn that into a CAD layout showing aisles, bay sizes, beam levels, and total pallet positions, along with a line-item quote. Nothing is charged until you approve the design.

From there we specify the system. Selective pallet racking is the usual starting point for operations with many SKUs and daily picking. When you store deep quantities of the same item, push back, drive-in, or pallet flow converts aisle space into storage. Cantilever handles pipe, lumber, and other long loads, and carton flow supports case picking.

Standard components ship from stock, often inside 48 hours. Full installations across Chicago typically run one to four weeks depending on scope. Our crews handle new installs, expansions, teardowns, and relocations, and we anchor and level every frame. Afterward you keep our number for parts, added beam levels, and layout changes as the operation grows.

Pallet Rack Systems We Install in Chicago

These are the systems that come up most often in local buildings. We carry the full range, and the layout tells us which combination earns its place on your floor.

Selective Pallet Rack for warehouse racking in Chicago, IL

    Selective Pallet Rack

Selective pallet racking is the most widely used warehouse racking system, providing direct and individual access to each pallet position. This pallet rack system is ideal for warehouses requiring immediate access to all SKUs without moving other pallets.

Push Back Pallet Rack for warehouse racking in Chicago, IL

    Push Back Pallet Rack

Push back pallet rack systems utilize nested carts on inclined rails, allowing pallets to be stored 2-6 deep from a single aisle. This industrial pallet racking solution maximizes warehouse space while maintaining selectivity.

Carton Flow Rack for warehouse racking in Chicago, IL

    Carton Flow Rack

Carton flow rack systems use inclined wheel beds inside your warehouse pallet racking so cases roll from restocking to the pick face, cutting the distance pickers walk.

Not sure which one fits? See recent pallet rack installations or request a free warehouse consultation. If you also operate near Cicero or Bedford Park, we can plan both buildings on one layout.
