Pushback Rack for Aurora, Illinois Warehouses

A lot of the calls we get from Aurora start the same way: a growing distribution floor along I-88 where every new SKU lands on the floor because the rack runs are already full. Underneath that is usually medium-turn pallets taking up premium pick positions, and it gets worse every month the layout stays the same.

Pushback rack stores two to six pallets deep per lane on nested carts, so one aisle face holds several pallets of the same SKU and the aisles you no longer need go back to storage. We work out the storage math for your Aurora footprint first, then hand you a CAD layout and itemized quote before a single beam ships. Call (312) 815-2445 to get started.

Why Aurora Warehouses Work With Us

We have worked Aurora buildings from the I-88 Reagan Tollway corridor to the Butterfield Road business parks for years, and they are rarely alike. Around here, tilt-wall distribution buildings along I-88 share the market with older manufacturing plants near the Fox River. A pushback rack layout copied from another building almost always wastes pallet positions.

Since 1997 we have supplied manufacturing, food processing, and 3PL operations in and around Aurora. That history means fewer aisles maintained for the same forklift fleet rarely surprises us mid-project, and the first pushback rack layout is usually close to the final one.

Our Westmont warehouse is about 30 minutes from Aurora by way of I-88, Route 59, and Route 34, so deliveries are short, parts are close, and our own crews do the installation. One contact handles the layout, quote, schedule, and service afterward.

    How Pushback Rack Works

Two to six pallets deep from one aisle, without giving up much reach.

    1

    Loading from the aisle

The driver sets the first pallet on the front cart. Each pallet added after that pushes the cart train deeper into the lane, so one aisle handles the whole depth.

    2

    Carts nested on rails

Steel carts with nylon or steel wheels ride inclined rails, each nesting under the one ahead of it - that nesting is what makes multi-deep storage possible from a single face.

    3

    Retrieval by gravity

Pull the front pallet and the next cart rolls forward on the incline to the pick face. No driving into the lane, no repositioning pallets by hand.

    4

    Last in, first out

Each lane runs LIFO. That suits fast-turning product and any operation managing rotation by lane rather than by individual pallet date.

What a Pushback Rack Project Includes

A Aurora pushback rack project starts with a phone call or a few photos, not a sales pitch. We go through load size and weight, forklift type and lift height, usable clear height in the storage area, column spacing, and how fast product turns. That free warehouse needs analysis usually takes about fifteen minutes.

You get a pushback rack drawing for your building with every position counted, every level rated, and an itemized price by frame, beam, and accessory. Because this system turns on density added without pushing out a building wall, we usually include an alternative layout on the same plan so you can compare storage against access.

Standard components ship from stock, often inside 48 hours, and delivery is timed to your Aurora receiving hours. Our own crews anchor, plumb, and level every frame, tag capacities, and phase the work by zone so shipping keeps moving. Afterward you keep one local number for parts, added levels, reconfigurations, or a future relocation.
